Our Mission

Our sole purpose as a church is to ensure that everybody feels valued. For the reason that, we truly believe that because everyone is valued in the eyes of God, they should be treated as such. Whether you are a Christian or non- Christian, whether you are black or white whether you are rich or poor. You are valued. And this is the message we wish to preach through the love we display, through the prayers that we pray and through the fellowship that we engage in. We are constantly reminded of this through our mission statement:

Mission statement

WE ARE A PEOPLE WITH THE SAME PURPOSE “TO BE THE SALT AND THE LIGHT TO THE COMMUNITY, POINTING ALL MANNER OF PEOPLE TO THEIR CREATOR.”

There are several verses from scripture that form the foundation of JPC, some are highlighted here.

Matthew 28:19-20

Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.”

Acts 1:8

But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.  Matthew 16:18

2 Corinthians 4:3-4

And I also say to you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build My church, and the gates of Hades shall not prevail against it

But even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing, 4 whose minds the god of this age has blinded, who do not believe, lest the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine on them.

Acts 2:42-47

And they continued steadfastly in the apostles’ doctrine and fellowship, in the breaking of bread, and in prayers.

43 Then fear came upon every soul, and many wonders and signs were done through the apostles.

44 Now all who believed were together, and had all things in common,

45 and sold their possessions and goods, and divided them among all, as anyone had need.

46 So continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, they ate their food with gladness and simplicity of heart,

47 praising God and having favour with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily those who were being save.

Walk in wisdom toward those who are outside, redeeming the time. 6 Let your speech always be with grace, seasoned with salt, that you may know how you ought to answer each one. Colossians 4:5
